Chris Meloni has had enough poking round “Special Victims’” pain. Australia’s Courier-Mail claims he told them he’s leaving the Law & Order spinoff after 12 years. "The writers will have fertile ground to figure out how to arc [Stabler] out to another place, whether it's this world or the next," he told them during a set visit. Chris’ initial claims that he was leaving were pooh-poohed by the show’s producer, Neal Baer, in an interview with Access Hollywood. But while Right TV claims the Courier-Mail took down its article, tvplus was still able to find it, and according to Malaysia’s The Star, Chris later confirmed the report by releasing a statement that his decision was final and that he’d leave after shooting the May 2012 season.PHOTO CREDIT: SABC3
