Growing Pains producer jailed for child porn

Steven Marshall, the executive producer of hit 80s comedy Growing Pains, has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for distributing child pornography. He was arrested on 15 April last year. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, US District Judge J. Eclipse trailer is here

Unless Summit delays it, the first official 90 second trailer for Twilight: Eclipse will go out online at 6 am American time today (that’s 4pm Thursday afternoon in South Africa). So keep your eye on YouTube. The film itself releases in South Africa on 30 June. The full trailer can be seen with Robert Pattinson’s movie Remember Me, which is out in SA from Friday 12 March.

Jub Jub’s car trouble

The Sowetan reports hip-hop star and Survivor SA dropout “Jub Jub” Maarohanye was arrested yesterday, along with the driver of another car allegedly seen racing down Mdlalose Street in Soweto at 4pm on Monday. According to reports, the two cars crashed, and one rolled off the road, where it struck six school children. Four of the teenagers died, while the other two were taken to hospital and were still in critical condition on Tuesday afternoon.
