Who will replace Simon Cowell?

With auditions for season 10 of American Idol already underway, Fox Network is running out of time to replace Simon Cowell, who quit the show at the end of season 9 to focus on competing talent show, The X Factor. Candidates for the new judge apparently include Harry Connick Jr and even Donald Trump, and now, crooner Chris Isaak (who’s made appearances in Cold Case, Eastwick and Smallville) has joined the list. The network says they’ll have an answer by September. PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM

Jen has a stalker too

The weirdos are out in full force this week! Jennifer Aniston is the latest celeb to have gotten a restraining order against a stalker, TMZ reports. According to court documents, 24-year-old Jason Peyton was arrested after cops caught him prowling with a “sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about [the star].” Not smart. The police’s job was made easier by a tip-off from his mom – and the words “I love you Jennifer Aniston” carved into his car. PS. Jen’s new fragrance, launched yesterday, had a last minute name change – it’s now simply called Jennifer Aniston (it was originally going to be called Lolavie). PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM

Ronaldo’s babymama a waitress?

Apparently, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr wasn’t delivered by a football-mad stork after all. The tabloids are now reporting that the child’s mother is an American waitress that the Portuguese soccer star had a one-night stand with while on holiday in the US last year. He’s apparently paid her $10 million, presumably for her silence, and for the privilege of having sole custody of the child. Only thing is, baby Ronaldo was supposedly born on June 17, and daddy’s US trip was last June, so the dates don’t add up. Seems someone, somewhere’s fibbing. PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM

Mel Gibson – abuser or victim?

The Mel Gibson saga is turning really ugly. Mel’s babymama Oksana Grigorieva has accused him of hitting her and bruising his baby, and has submitted taped evidence of his enraged rants, threats, swearing and racist remarks. But Mel’s lawyers say the tapes were tampered with, and claim Oksana used them to try to extort millions from the star. On the flip side, actress Whoopi Goldberg last week said Mel was no racist, and the actor’s soon to be ex-wife Robyn has written a sworn declaration stating “Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage . . . Mel was a wonderful and loving father.” PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM

Who will be the new Hulk?

The speculation over who will replace Edward Norton as The Hulk in Joss Whedon’s Avengers has begun, and it’s all kinds of super-weird. The first name to pop up in the rumour mill was former Doctor Who, David Tennant, but it now looks like Marvel Studios is leaning towards Shutter Island star, Mark Ruffalo. PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM

No more Stella for CSI:NY

After six years with the show, Melina Kanakaredes, who plays Detective Stella Bonasera, has announced she won’t be back for a seventh season of CSI:NY. Judging by CBS network’s decision to move the show to the notorious Friday night “death slot”, we’re wondering if there’ll even be a seventh season.PHOTO CREDIT: EONLINE.COM
